An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to work in an exceptional Neuropsychiatric service based in the Darlington, County Durham area. You will be working for one of UK’s leading healthcare providers

This is a Neuropsychiatric service offering care and treatment to those affected by acquired brain injuries

**To be considered for this position you must be a registered Speech and Language Therapist with the HCPC registration**

As the Specialist Speech & Language Therapist your key responsibilities include:

• Work to assess their speech, communication and language needs (SCLN) in all environments

• As part of a multi-disciplinary team on-site, you will work with all staff across the hospital to support the implementation of the therapeutic and neuropsychiatric approach demonstrating an interest in up skilling the workforce

• Work closely with the Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

• You will be part of a company-wide SLT service and contribute to the service development initiatives

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

• Experience in the field of ABI/neurodegenerative conditions

• An understanding of SLT process/interventions and can take a “hands on” approach

• Excellent communication and time management skills

• Passionate about student education

• Dysphagia competencies (desirable) or an interest in developing skills in this area of practice

The successful Specialist Speech & Language Therapist will receive an excellent salary up to £32,773 per annum DOE. This exciting position is a permanent full time role working 40 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
